Puppies

The puppies are three weeks old now. Before we know it they will be ready to go! I get sad thinking about it. They are starting to play with each other and walk all over the place.

Anybody see the movie? What do you think?

Jared

I was going through some pictures and found this one. I was trying to figure out my camera. Do you think he gets sick of me taking pictures? I always tell him that one day he will thank me. That day has not yet come.
In the top picture, if you look close you can see Zoie sitting at Jared's feet. When we take her fishing, she sits right on the shore line and watches Jared's fishing line. She goes NUTS when he actually catches one. Too funny.

The boys got their whittling badge last night. They have to have that in order to "legally" carry a pocket knife at scout camp. That badge makes me feel so much better - does the scout master know Koby nearly lost a thumb whittling a month ago?

Kabri took these pictures. They were a little surprise for me when I checked my camera today.

Babies

They are finally here!

Our babies are finally here! They were born between 11 pm and 4 am on Friday morning. She had 3 girls and 3 boys. That's right - 6 babies!! We were expecting four so the last two were a real surprise. They are all healthy and Zoie is a very good little mom. They will be ready to go for Christmas. Jared says I can't keep them all so, if you know anyone who wants one, have them give me a call.

My nephew, Braxton, has decided they are his puppies. He was getting a little upset that other little kids were looking at his puppies. He also thinks I am mean for keeping them in a little box. He wants me to let them out to run. I am not sure who it is going to be harder on when they leave, me or him. However, Avery, my niece hasn't seen them yet. I am willing to bet she will give Brax a little competition. She made me promise that she could name them all.

I am sorry I don't have pictures right now. Jared hid my camera with the pictures on it somewhere. I will post pictures later today!

Crazy Hair/Pajama day

This was crazy hair/pajama day at the elementary during red ribbon week. On the screen this looked focused. I was sad to see it was blurry. But, Kabri won the prize that day!

On pins and needles

I know there are many of you who can empathize with her. I don't think I can take it anymore. I used to make fun of Jared. He said that my pregnancy was too hard on him to have any more kids. Hard on him? Are you kidding? Now, watching Zoie go through this, I have a better understanding of what he must have been feeling.

We have been watching and waiting. She doesn't do much anymore. She doesn't jump, run, play. I am pretty sure she is completely miserable. So sad. She should have these pups some time at the end of this week or the beginning of next. Not soon enough for her or me!

Fat Zoie

Poor Zoie. She is due in about 2 weeks. I feel so bad for her. She gets fatter every day. She is usually so skinny. This was taken this weekend. I had her hair cut short in preparation of babies. I can't wait for babies. If anybody knows anyone who wants one, they will be ready just in time for Christmas!

Cavity Free!

We went to the dentist (Todd Huntington) on Monday to have checkups. Kabri and Koby also had to have teeth pulled to get ready for braces in a couple years. Kabri had four teeth pulled and Koby had one. Todd gave me these pictures of past checkups and made me promise to post them. Their picture is posted on the board when they go for their checkups and don't have cavities.

Reba & Kelly . . . . and, who's that? Barbara Jean!!!

Sean and Bre had tickets to the Reba & Kelly concert. Lucky me, Sean decided he didn't really want to go. So, they gave me his tickets for Christmas! Because Bre works for Zions, she gets to buy tickets before they actually go on sale. So, we were on the 13th row of the FLOOR!! Just before the concert opened Barbara Jean (Melissa Peterson from the Reba show) came out a performed her stand-up comedy. Hysterical. I loved this, being the avid Reba show fan that I am. She also came out half way through the show.

The mix between Reba and Kelly was awesome. It was a little different show than Reba usually puts on. Danyale and I bought Reba tickets from a scalper about 100 years ago and the show then was almost a broadway production. She had dancers and changed her clothes about 5 times. This was a little more low-key, but was still way awesome!!

Thanks Bre and Sean!!

Oh! The envy

Kolton got his retainer yesterday! He was ear-to-ear smiles on the way to the orthodontist's office. Apparently teeth-adjustment apparatuses is the hot look in 4th grade. Anyone who is anybody has braces or a retainer at the minimum.

Once we got back, Kabri and Koby could hardly stand it. I tried to tell them that braces and retainers are painful. But, they were still convinced they weren't painful enough to not still want them. . . . until Kolton then came up about a half hour after going to bed crying because his teeth hurt. A little tylenol and he was back on his way to "keeping his cool" as he put it.

Sunday dinner at the Bulter's

Jack and Dianne have all of us over for Sunday dinner once or twice a month. I was trying out a new lens last night and took some pictures. Usually we eat and then hang out pretty much all night.

OK, so I made the girls all get in a picture. This took us a while because I couldn't figure out how to set the automatic timer on my new camera - thanks for your diligence girls. Only the two pregnant girls whinned about it. But, they were troopers. I have to say publicly that I love these girls. I am grateful to have married into a big family of boys so that I get the pleasure of having wonderful sister in laws. May we all grow old together.

These were my favorite pictures of Bron (bottom) and Ryde (top), the two youngest boys.

Brax was hammin' it up for me. I took about 100 pictures of him running around on the deck. Up until it got too cold and we had to go inside.

Nothing like the Fall

The kids and I joined Jared and the rest of his "hunting buddies" on the skyline for Friday and Saturday of the muzzeload hunt. We, of course, didn't hunt. That would require getting up early and suffering from the cold. I will take none of that. We slept warm, cozy, and late in the trailer.

The Fall colors were incredible. I couldn't resist stopping to take pictures the whole way down. Jared loved that - he was pulling the trailer and having to stop at very narrow places, but it was worth it. I wished I would have had clean clothes for the kids and had them take a shower before we left. They are a little dirty - we were camping after all. Oh well, you get the idea.

These are for those of you with the unlucky misfortune of not living in God's country.

Are you happy now?

I decided I'd had enough of the whining. I fancy myself a binge blogger. You get a lot of blogging from me all at once and then nothing for a long time. However, I thought I would post some Yellowstone pictures to placate those of you who are nagging at me - you know who you are!

Yellowstone was WAY cooler than I thought it would be. Not hardly the trip I imagined. I thought it would be something similar to a trip to Joe's Valley, but NO. The hot pots were awesome, the gysers were way cool, and we got to see animals we have never seen in the wild before. Jack and Dianne almost got attacked by a bear! OK, I might just be a little melodramatic there, but they were close enough to a grizzly to be attacked. Lucky for them he just wasn't in the mood.

I may grace you with more pictures later - if you're lucky. JK - I am just sooooo impressed by those of you who make time. I love to read all of yours.

Bear World

Our first stop was at Bear World. We got to see LOTS of lazy bears and enjoy the petting zoo. We see lots and lots of deer all the time, but it was fun to be able to pet a few. The little goats kept trying to get our attention by eating our shirts. I wanted to take him home with us.
